Public Realm: A Study of Seattle’s Public Parks and Greenways 

This project was for the design and production of an installation in coordination with B9 architects (Angela Yang) and the Seattle Design Festival to highlight the green areas Seattle provides to its neighborhoods.

Objective

  • Create a series of maps to highlight the city park and green areas of Seattle.

  • Each 12”x12” wood block represetned a square mile and related each viewer with a 20 minute mile walk.

  • Tools used to produce the maps include:

    • Rhino 3d

    • ArcGIS Map Data

    • Open Street Map

    • Laser Vector Works

    • Laser Engraver

    • Wood Cutting/sanding tools
